Product Details
The Victron GX I/O Extender 150 (SKU BPP900800150) is a compact I/O expansion module that enhances the capabilities of any Victron GX device, such as Cerbo GX, Venus GX, or Color GX. It plugs in via USB, which also powers it, so there is no need for a separate power supply. This makes installation clean, simple, and efficient.
It provides 8 digital I/O ports, which can be configured as eight inputs, eight outputs, or a mixed configuration of four inputs and four outputs. This flexibility allows you to tailor the module to your system’s specific needs, whether you are integrating sensors, switches, or external devices. The I/O ports are isolated from the USB supply, and each line has an LED indicator to show its status, which helps with diagnostics.
For control tasks, the unit includes 4 PWM outputs with 8-bit precision at 1.5625 kHz, suitable for dimming lights or driving motors. There are also two bi-stable (latching) relays, enabling low‑power switching of AC or DC loads. These relays hold their state even if the power is lost, providing reliability for signalling or control applications. In addition, a solid-state relay (SSR) is provided for fast DC switching, capable of handling up to 70 V DC and 4 A, ideal for loads such as contactor coils or capacitive circuits.
The module’s form factor is small: 123 × 67 × 23 mm, weighing about 170 g, so it fits neatly in tight installation spaces. It supports wall mounting or DIN-rail mounting using an adapter, giving flexibility for where and how to install it. It operates reliably over a wide temperature range from –20 °C to +50 °C, making it suitable for use in off-grid, marine, or industrial environments.
Integration with the Victron ecosystem is smooth. The Extender works with Node-RED on a GX device, enabling custom automation logic. You can also access and control the extender via the GX user interface using the Switch pane. This allows your installation to support advanced system logic, alarms, automation, or remote control, all managed through your GX system.
