The Victron EV Charging Station NS is a robust, trade-grade AC charger designed for installers and specifiers who need flexibility and system integration. It supports up to 22 kW on three-phase supplies and 7.3 kW on single-phase supplies, giving fast charge capability suitable for small fleets, workplace bays and energy-aware residential installations. Configuration is handled locally via Bluetooth using VictronConnect or through the integrated web interface over Wi-Fi, allowing quick on-site commissioning and straightforward updates.
Integration with the Victron ecosystem is a core advantage. The unit can be controlled and monitored remotely when connected to a Victron GX device and the VRM portal, enabling session tracking, load management and reporting. For solar-led installations, use the automatic mode to prioritise surplus PV energy for vehicle charging and maximise self-consumption. Manual mode allows the installer or end user to set current between 6 A and 32 A, and scheduled mode enables off-peak charging windows.
Operational feedback is immediate thanks to the fully programmable RGB light ring around the Type 2 socket. The ring offers numerous visual effects to indicate device status such as disconnected, charging, charged or fault, which reduces confusion for drivers and maintenance staff. The unit is built for field conditions with IP44 enclosure protection and an operating temperature range of -25 °C to +50 °C, meeting the expectations of commercial installations.
Safety and compliance are prioritised with fault detection for welded relay contacts, missing earth or protective conductor, and shorted control pilot, and conformance to IEC 61851-1 and IEC 61851-22 standards. The compact dimensions and light weight make it straightforward for trade installers to mount and wire, and the option of three front-panel colours lets specifiers match site aesthetics.
