The Victron Energy GX LTE 4-G-E is a durable 2G/3G/4G cellular modem built for Victron GX monitoring devices. It enables remote access over mobile networks to the Victron Remote Management (VRM) portal, making it ideal for off-grid, mobile or hard-to-reach systems.
Designed for the EMEA region (including Europe, Middle East, Africa), Korea, and Thailand, it supports LTE bands 1, 3, 5, 7, 8, 20, 38, 40 and 41. It features a built-in GNSS (GPS/Beidou/GLONASS/GALILEO/QZSS) receiver for tracking and geofencing via VRM when used with an optional active external GPS antenna.
The modem runs on a wide voltage range, from 8-70 V DC, and draws less than 1 W in idle mode. During data transmission (2G/3G/4G) the power use rises to around 2.5 W, with an additional 0.4 W when GPS is active. A 1.4 m power cable with inline fuse and ring terminals is provided, along with a fixed 1.0 m USB-A cable for straightforward connection to your GX device. A small indoor LTE antenna is included, and there are SMA-female connectors for optional external 4G or GPS antennas.
Compact and lightweight at just 106 × 42.5 × 22 mm and 0.08 kg, it fits neatly in enclosures or control panels. The unit has a status-LED (blue) to show power and connection states, and it operates reliably across −40 °C to +50 °C. To use this modem, ensure your GX device is running Venus OS v2.60 or newer.
