At its core is Victron's renowned Ultra-Fast Maximum Power Point Tracking (MPPT). This intelligent technology constantly scans the power-voltage curve of your solar panels. Crucially, in conditions of partial shading or quickly changing cloud cover, the unit rapidly adapts to lock onto the optimum Maximum Power Point (MPP), delivering up to 30% more energy harvest compared to slower PWM controllers. This means more power delivered to your batteries, quicker charging times, and maximum efficiency (up to 98%).
The 'SmartSolar' designation highlights its integrated Bluetooth Smart capability. Using the free VictronConnect App on your smartphone or tablet, you get complete, real-time control. The addition of the VE.Can communication port is what truly sets this model apart. This industrial-grade CAN bus allows you to daisy-chain and synchronise up to 25 SmartSolar MPPT units to operate as one unified, high-power system. When connected to a Victron GX monitoring device (such as a Cerbo GX), you gain total system oversight, synchronised charging stages, and global remote management access via the Victron Remote Management (VRM) portal.
