Product Details

The Victron Quattro-II 48/5000/70-50/50 230 V is a high-performance inverter-charger designed for professional off-grid, marine, industrial, and energy-storage applications. Operating on a 48 V DC system, it provides 5 000 VA / 4 000 W of clean true sine wave output at 230 V, making it suitable for supporting both essential loads and demanding equipment in commercial environments.

A key advantage of the Quattro-II is its dual AC input capability. This allows two independent power sources, typically grid and generator, with automatic priority selection and rapid switching. The unit delivers no-break power transfer in under 20 milliseconds, protecting sensitive loads and ensuring continuity during outages or transitions.

PowerControl and PowerAssist technologies are built in to help manage available power intelligently. PowerControl prevents overloading by adjusting battery charging when supply is limited, while PowerAssist supplements incoming power with energy from the batteries during short, high-demand periods. This feature is particularly useful in generator-dependent or constrained-supply installations.

For larger systems, the Quattro-II offers full scalability. Up to six units can be paralleled to increase output capacity, and the inverter can also be configured for three-phase or split-phase operation. This flexibility makes it suitable for both small and large-scale installations across commercial, marine, and industrial sectors.

Remote monitoring and configuration are supported through VE.Bus and GX devices, including Cerbo GX and Colour Control GX. The system can also be accessed through VictronConnect (with a VE.Bus Smart Dongle) and the VRM Portal, giving installers and operators complete visibility and control of system performance.

Built for long-term reliability, the unit features a steel casing in Victron’s signature blue and carries an IP21 protection rating. It includes a four-stage adaptive charger rated at 70 A, along with temperature sensing, a programmable relay, and fan-assisted cooling. Combined, these features ensure stable performance in both fixed and mobile installations.

Key Features & System Integration

  • Dual AC Inputs: Automatically connects to the active source between two independent AC supplies.
  • Dual AC Outputs: The main output provides "no-break" functionality, taking over power supply to connected loads in less than 20 milliseconds during grid failure. The second output is live only when AC input is available, preventing non-essential loads from discharging the battery.
  • PowerControl & PowerAssist: Automatically manages AC input to prevent overloading a generator or grid connection. PowerAssist supplements the power source with battery power when peak demand exceeds the source capacity.
  • Parallel & Three-Phase Operation: Up to 6 units can operate in parallel. Three units can be configured for three-phase output, and up to 6 sets of three units can be connected in parallel per phase for high-capacity systems.
  • Auxiliary Output: 32 A (switches off when in inverter mode by default).
  • Programmable Relay: Can be configured for general alarms, DC under-voltage, or generator start/stop functions.
  • Communication: Includes a VE.Bus port for system integration and two general-purpose communication ports.
  • Remote On-Off: Yes
