Victron 12V 50A Phoenix Smart IP43 Charger - 1+1 Outputs 230V

The Victron 12 V 50 A Phoenix Smart IP43 Charger (SKU PSC125051085) is a high-performance dual-output battery charger that provides 50 A to your main (house) battery and around 3 A to a starter battery on its secondary output. It features an adaptive 6-stage charging algorithm (including bulk, absorption, recondition, float, storage and refresh) that optimises for different battery types, including lead-acid and Li-ion.

This charger supports both Bluetooth and VE.Direct connectivity, allowing installers to configure settings, monitor charge parameters and perform firmware updates via the VictronConnect app or a GX device. It also offers automatic voltage compensation: as DC load current increases, it slightly raises the output voltage to offset voltage drop in cabling.

You can remotely control the charger via its two-pole remote on/off terminal, and program the onboard relay (rated 5 A, up to 28 V) to trigger on specific events such as alarms. The charger is also capable of functioning as a power supply: you can set the output voltage via Bluetooth or VE.Direct to power DC loads while charging.

Built for durability, the unit uses an aluminium housing, coloured in Victron blue, and has electronic components rated to IP43, with the connection area rated IP22. It measures approximately 180 × 249 × 100 mm, weighs 2.7–3.5 kg, and connects via screw terminals (16 mm²) for batteries, with an IEC C14 AC inlet.

The operating temperature range is –20 °C to +60 °C, with full rated output up to 40 °C and linear derating above that. Protection features include reverse polarity (fuse), short circuit and over-temperature. A 5-year warranty underlines Victron’s confidence in this charger.
