The Victron MultiPlus-II 48/5000/70-50 230V GX is a professional-grade inverter/charger designed for demanding 48 V battery systems in off-grid, mobile or hybrid applications. Built with a robust steel housing in Victron blue (RAL 5012) and rated protection IP22, this unit delivers 5000 VA continuous inverter output at 230 V AC and supports 70 A battery charging from the internal charger.
With built-in GX device functionality (USB, Ethernet, VE.Direct, VE.Can, Wi-Fi) this model offers full remote monitoring and control via the integrated display and the free VRM portal. The MultiPlus-II GX supports parallel operation and three-phase configuration, allowing you to scale up output power and battery charge rates as system requirements grow.
Key safety and system-integration features include the PowerControl and PowerAssist functions which can manage and support limited grid or generator supply by diverting battery power during peak loads and re-charging when load demand drops. Key Features & System Integration
- Integrated GX Device: Includes an internal communication hub (equivalent to a Cerbo GX) for system configuration, monitoring, and control. It enables connection to the Victron Remote Management (VRM) portal for remote access and data logging.
- PowerControl & PowerAssist: Prevents overloading limited AC sources (such as a generator or shore power) by automatically adjusting battery charging. PowerAssist supplements the source with battery power during peak demand periods.
- Two AC Outputs: The main output features "no-break" functionality, taking over the supply to connected loads in less than 20 milliseconds during a grid failure. The second output is live only when AC is available on the input, preventing non-essential loads (like water heaters) from discharging the battery.
