The Victron MultiPlus 24/3000/70-50 230V VE.Bus is a smart inverter and charger solution designed for demanding power systems. Suitable for marine, off grid, industrial, and commercial vehicle environments, it provides dependable AC power where reliability is essential. Combining high performance power conversion with flexible charging capability, it helps protect connected equipment and maintains stable power delivery even in challenging conditions.
A key feature of this model is its dual AC outputs. The main output offers no break functionality, maintaining power to sensitive electronics during a grid failure or when shore or generator power is disconnected. This switch occurs in under twenty milliseconds, preventing disruption to equipment such as computers or communications devices. A secondary AC output is available when external AC power is present, making it ideal for loads like water heaters that should not draw from the battery.
For users with expanding energy demands, scalability is a major benefit. Up to six MultiPlus units can be operated in parallel to increase output capacity, while three identical units can be configured in a three phase setup. Installers can combine both parallel and phase configurations for large scale systems, offering flexibility for growth and upgrades.
PowerControl helps manage limited generator, grid, or shore supplies. By setting a maximum input current, the MultiPlus adjusts battery charging automatically to prevent overload. PowerAssist builds on this by supplementing external power during short bursts of high demand, drawing from the battery to avoid tripping breakers. Once loads reduce, surplus power charges the battery again.
This model integrates well with solar systems. It supports off grid operation and can continue supplying AC power during grid interruptions. With optional software, it can support self consumption setups that combine AC coupled inverters and MPPT solar chargers.
Configuration options include simple DIP switch setup for standalone use or VE.Bus software tools for more complex arrangements. Monitoring and control options range from local panels and Bluetooth access through a smartphone to full remote management via GX devices. When connected online, system data can be viewed free of charge on the VRM portal, and settings can be adjusted remotely.
