The CTR140050100 is a professional-grade 400A:50mA current transformer specifically engineered for use with Victron MultiPlus-II inverter chargers. Its primary role is to provide external current sensing, which is essential for implementing advanced features like PowerControl and PowerAssist. By measuring the AC current on an external conductor without routing that electricity through the inverter itself, the system can determine precisely how much power is being drawn from the grid at any given moment.

This particular model is designed for use in setups involving an external transfer switch. In these configurations, where an external switch replaces the internal AC transfer switches of the MultiPlus-II units, one current transformer is required for each phase of the system. It is an ideal solution for retrofit projects or installations where space is limited, as it provides a faster and simpler alternative to installing a full DIN rail energy meter.

The unit features a 10-metre cable with wire-end terminations, making it compatible with the two-wire terminal connections found on newer MultiPlus-II models.
