The Victron BMV-712 Smart Battery Monitor provides precise and accessible monitoring of your battery bank, making it ideal for trade and business customers who demand reliable performance. With a wide supply voltage range of 6.5 to 70 V DC, it’s designed to work with a variety of battery systems from DC buses to larger installations. The device draws less than 1 mA when the back-light is off, ensuring minimal impact on your system’s standby power usage.
User-friendly installation is built in: it includes a 500 A/50 mV quick-connect shunt and all the necessary cables. The monitor flush mounts easily with a 63 mm front diameter and a compact body depth of just 31 mm, making it suitable for panel dashboards or cabinets. The built-in Bluetooth enables direct connection to mobile devices, allowing you to view battery voltage, current, power, amp-hours consumed and state of charge - plus historical trends, alarms and settings - all through the Victron app.
Advanced features such as the auxiliary input for a second battery, temperature or midpoint voltage measurement broaden the application scope, while the bi-stable relay supports automated actions like load shut-off or generator start-up. The VE.Direct port allows integration into larger system communications, connecting to monitoring or control equipment.
